My Approach to Helping
When life becomes frustrating, and you feel like you're going in circles, help from a psychotherapist may be just what you need. My approach is holistic - utilizing mind, body, and spirit - to get to the core of the issue. In this way, you don't spend years delving into your symptoms, but work through the issue effectively the first time. People have often said, "I've gotten more out of 2 sessions with you then 10 years of therapy."

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
In my opinion, the purpose of therapy is to help people grow and learn about themselves - essentially to become unstuck. It is life changing. I think everyone deserves to experience it at least once their life.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I love connecting my clients with their inner strengths, even when they're not sure how to do it themselves. I'm passionate about helping them see their amazing capabilities and ways to remove the barriers that are in the way. When this happens, breakthroughs occur and that is life changing.
My Role as a Therapist
My role as a therapist, as I see it, is to hold up a mirror to the client and help them see what they can't. Then it is up to them to decide what to do with that information. Through use of various exercises and techniques, I help the client achieve their goals - often going above and beyond their expectations.
What I Usually Need to Know to Help
I just need to know they are willing to change. They may not know how, but if they're willing, the symptoms or story really doesn't matter as long as the motivation is there.
