My Approach to Helping

People choose to go to therapy for numerous reasons. From recent life stressors to long-term struggles with anxiety or depression, therapy can be a way to increase adaptability, happiness, coping, and overall quality of life. For some, therapy is about treating an identified problem, while others focus on personal growth and general well-being. Either way, therapy can be an important catalyst for positive change.

I treat a broad range of individual and couples issues, having been trained as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Professional Counselor, and Clinical Psychologist. My special interests include health psychology - helping individuals, couples and family members coping with illness; trauma - providing prolonged exposure therapy; and couples therapy - including non-traditional relationships and divorce/co-parenting.

I incorporate an empathetic, practical, and relational style to therapy, with a touch of humor and creativity. I believe that therapy is a collaborative relationship and together, we will work to identify and change the mental, emotional, and/or behavioral patterns that are preventing you from feeling your best.

Fees for Services

Individual Therapy: $220 for a 50-minute session

Couples Therapy: $220 for a 50-minute session. Fees for longer sessions are prorated based on the same rate. For example, a 75-minute session would be $330. I provide extended appointments up to 90 minutes in length for couples.

Payment is due at time of service. In order to make paying for therapy more convenient I accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express, as well as cash, PayPal, and Venmo.

Information on Insurance

WeHo Psychology does not accept any insurance plans at this time. However, we do provide services as an out-of-network provider and many clients choose to use their out-of-network benefits. I am happy to provide you with a receipt of services (a Super Bill) for you to submit to your insurance company, should you choose to use insurance to pay for your therapy.

Using out-of-network insurance benefits can greatly reduce the cost of therapy. Typically, insurance plans with out-of-network benefits reimburse anywhere from 40 to 70% of the total fee. Therefore, depending on the reimbursement rate, your net cost per session may be anywhere from $66 to $132 for a 50-minute session.
