My Approach to Helping
As a therapist I believe in creating a safe space for my clients to show up, and in developing a strong therapeutic relationship. Jeannie Marcelin is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who works with all ages. Jeannie specializes in working with individuals, couples, and families as they transition through life issues (career, divorce, separation, dating), parenting, and trauma. She works with adolescents and their families in areas of stress management, anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, trauma, grief, and LGBTQ+ issues. Jeannie completed her Master of Science (MS) in Marriage and Family Therapy at St. Thomas University.
As a native Haitian Creole speaker, she can provide bilingual services and reach more individuals within the community. Jeannie uses evidence-based modalities to bring about realistic change in the lives of her clients. Through understanding who you are and what your needs are, Jeannie will collaboratively work together. Your therapeutic goals will be tailored to address your needs to create a unique experience. Jeannie will help you grow while empowering you with all of the necessary tools you need to sustain the life you want, and can achieve!
