My Approach to Helping

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY: I work collaboratively with my clients. You are the expert on your life; I am the expert on relationships.
Together, we open up new ways for happiness to enter your life.
MARRIAGE COUNSELING: After many years working with couples, I noticed there were 12 skills or 'Frames' that were often lacking or poorly practiced. With the help of my booklet, "Framework Marriage Counseling" and my knowledge and experience with relationships, I offer my clients a positive path towards happiness and well-being.
BIBLIOTHERAPY WITH JANICE: A Group therapy using books as a therapeutic tool. Group members read the story and then come together to share interpretations. This gives everyone a chance to learn different viewpoints, thereby gaining more empathy and flexibility in their own lives.
THERAPY 4 THERAPISTS: Individual therapy helping therapists avoid burnout.
Our focus is on the emotions ignited from the stories you hear. If not addressed, it takes a toll. Therapy 4 Therapists acts as a gateway to your inner world. Starting with your clients' stories, therapy begins. Your emotional reactions are recognized, acknowledged and explored. Growth and changes can finally be made. More Info About My Practice

Therapy with Janice is affordable, confidential and of the highest quality.
Why is my fee affordable?
The nature of psychotherapy mandates an affordable fee. Unlike medical doctors with whom you may see infrequently, therapists deal with helping clients change how they view the world. This is very hard work and often takes consistent and repetitive sessions.
Isn't all psychotherapy confidential?
Yes, but there are exceptions. For example, if you use your insurance you compromise privacy by the information clients and providers must give out to them.
How does Janice give her clients the highest quality of therapy?
Janice not only has many years of experience, knowledge and education, she also has great insight, interest and care for her clients. She is warm, easy to talk to and is serious in helping her clients achieve happiness and well-being in their lives.

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

Length of therapy: The short answer is as long as you want. This is your therapy and you control the frequency. To help in this matter, I will often check in with you to see if therapy is going in the direction you want. You are the expert on your life; I am the expert on relationships. We work together to reach your goals. Here are some possibilities on how you might arrange sessions: once a week; every other week. one session and you are good to go; eight or more sessions until changes are seen and you feel satisfied. Talk to Janice for more ideas to fit your needs.
