My Approach to Helping
Feeling the gap widen from how you are feeling everyday to how you want to feel creates a sense of hopelessness and frustration. Know that the situation or problem affecting your life is valid and can become debilitating if left unchecked. Perhaps things have changed or you feel like the walls are closing in on you. An experience from the past feels like it is pushing more and more into the present. A heavy stomach, tightness in your chest and shoulders, wanting to withdraw from loved ones, and feeling glued to your bed are all common ways your body is telling you that something is wrong.
The constant tension of anxiety or your feet being pulled through the floor when depressed make the requirements of life at times unbearable and meaningless. Maybe irritation is turning into anger or the pull towards drugs and alcohol to cope understanding that it’s not sustainable.
Know that your hope for change is also real and you are already taking steps towards a peaceful self through this search. We can begin on a path aiming at feeling centered in your daily life, building a flow with your emotions, and towards your goals in life.
