My Approach to Helping
My theoretical orientation is person-centered therapy focusing on a strong interpersonal relationship that promotes a sense of safety and acceptance. I work to understand the needs of individuals and support them to recognize their strengths and ways to empower themselves, and I am particularly trained to work with clients who have experienced trauma. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy into my sessions and teach clients how trauma affects their perceptions of the world around them. I also collaborate with the nCenter to offer qEEG brain maps, neurofeedback andor nutritional counseling through our clinic. These combinations can have a powerful healing effect for clients who have a trauma history.
