My Approach to Helping

In my private counseling practice, I believe the client has everything he or she needs. I provide a relationship which the client may use for his or her own personal growth. I provide a place of safety - without condemnation or judgment - in which the client can move towards his or her areas of emotional distresses, any particular barriers, or other inner experiences. The perpetual unfolding of self-awareness and self-knowledge can interrupt habits, awaken our hearts, and inspire authentic living. This is the work of a lifetime.

I have been a certified grief counselor since 2003, and it has been my privilege to companion individuals and families as they journey through their landscape of loss - whether this is the death of a loved one, a debilitating injury, a divorce, a terminal illness or any other type of loss. I collaborate with my clients to explore ways to live with grief, to carve out ways for pain and love to coexist.

We can explore ways to come to yourself with kindness, to build upon what you already know about yourself, and find meaningful ways to live alongside your loss. Please visit my website for more information about the grief counseling services I offer.
