How Psychotherapy Can Help
We are taught many things in life, but rarely are we taught about compassion for ourselves. I believe therapy can teach us the things we don't learn, or help us find new ways of unlearning what is no longer helpful to us.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Some people think seeking mental health care means there is something to be fixed. I disagree. We are not broken because we are suffering. We are not flawed, unfixable, beings. We are humans experiencing the vast spectrum of emotions. Emotions are a normal counterpart to living. Learning how to identify, accept, and cope, with all of these emotions is a vital part of well-being. We are not flawed for experiencing these things, we are simply human.
