My Approach to Helping
What brings you to me and your interpersonal comfort with me are always my first concerns. My hope is to develop a trusting, warm and safe place with you so that you may address your concerns. We may explore your family history, significant relationships, work and career, and values. Together, we may explore your feelings, the way in which you talk to yourself and how you treat yourself. Specific therapeutic issues may involve a challenging relationship, conflicting thoughts and feelings, major life transitions such as marriage or career change, traumas or managing difficult feelings of anger or loss. Whatever concerns emerge, my goal is to help you learn to manage your life more constructively, garner insight about your self and how you relate to the world, and develop a warm and kind internal voice.
