What's My Approach to Therapy?
My approach to helping is collaborative in that I meet you where you are to address the issues you bring to therapy. Areas I can assist include supporting you during a difficult time, teaching you coping skills, helping you process through experiences from your past, addressing long-standing patterns in your life, and helping you get a better understanding of yourself. We will begin by discussing your goals for therapy and the changes you want to see in your life. We will discuss various approaches that might be helpful to you, and decide together on a plan to help you address your goals. We will regularly discuss how you feel things are going and if we need to make any adjustments to our plan. Clients have described me as a good listener, someone that remembers the details of their life and what's important to them, emotionally safe, empathic, warm, trusting, compassionate, non-judgmental, and down to earth. I look forward to hearing from you to see if I might be a good fit for you.
