My Approach to Helping
I earned my Masters in Social Work from California State University and my clinical focus is adults and teenagers suffering with depression, anxiety trauma, mood disorders, and substance abuse disorders. My specialized training includes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Rapid Desensitization (EMDR) therapies. I have most recently worked in a private clinic treating adults and adolescents. Prior to my current position, I was a case manager and therapist treating adults with chronic and persistent mental health disorders.
I have taught components of mindfulness, stress reduction, and emotion management. I am honored to be the support for others as they heal from mental injuries. I believe that my job as a therapist is to be a partner in helping my client reach their full potential.
I also believe counseling sessions should be as unique as the individual who comes to me for help. Together we can create a specialized treatment approach or an eclectic client-centered approach, whichever is best in supporting your journey to healing.
