My Approach to Helping
Erika Underwood is a Supervisee in Social Work currently on track to get her license in clinical social work. Erika has over 5 years of experience in the mental health field. She is understanding and culturally inclusive. Erika enjoys assisting adolescents, adults, and older adults in navigating life stressors and finding ways to regain hope and achieve personal life goals. Erika specializes in depression, anxiety, attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), building self-esteem, and stress. Erika completed her Master of Social Work (MSW) at Simmons College of Social Work. She served honorably in the United States Air Force and is a military spouse and bonus mother to three boys. With her military career and blended family, she is experienced with navigating the numerous life, cultural, and military stressors. Everyone goes through obstacles in their lives. Erika firmly believes that no one has to go through life alone. With Erika's education, life experiences, and compassion, she is equipped to assist her clients through their life journeys and barriers to their mental health. Erika uses numerous approaches and techniques to assist her clients with finding coping strategies, problem-solving, and overcoming their life stressors.
