My Approach to Helping
Old habits may die hard, but they can, in fact, die.
Many of my clients come to me because their actions don’t match their intentions.
And what can be more frustrating or more tragic than that, knowing you want to change something so badly, then being held back by some invisible force that just keeps throwing you back into old patterns?
I know the feeling, and you probably do too.
I work primarily with people managing behaviours that do not reflect their true wishes, people who know who know things can be different, or maybe even know who they want to be in the world, but find themselves living a life that’s distant from their expectations.
Stuff can come up around alcohol, drugs, food, sex, work, shopping, in relationships and a tonne of different ways… but you CAN act differently.
I work psychodynamically, meaning together we look at those forces that are behind our actions. You come to the session as the expert on your life, I come with an understanding of theories, science and philosophies of being. We collaborate to help you move forward, to identify when you have choices and how to make decisions with clarity.
