My Approach to Helping
Elizabeth Forman is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who has 7 years of experience in the mental health field. Elizabeth provides individual counseling services to adults. Her experience is in private practice and community mental health settings with individuals experiencing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and stress. Elizabeth completed both her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her Master of Science (MS) in Mental Health Counseling at Longwood University. She utilizes acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) as her therapeutic modality with a specific focus on self-compassion and mindfulness work. She recognizes that you are the expert on your story and that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Elizabeth strongly believes that individuals have the potential to live an abundant life in alignment with their values, even in the midst of struggle. Her goal is to establish a warm, trusting therapeutic alliance with you to help you reach your goals. Elizabeth would be honored to take this journey with you.
