I am Dr. Efrain Mendez, a Board Eligible, Bi-Lingual (English & Spanish) Psychiatrist with over 15 years of specialized experience in General Psychiatry and 30 years of overall medical expertise. I graduated from medical school in 1991 at the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. My Residency Training in General Psychiatry was completed at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, affiliated with Cornell University, in 2007.

I graduated from the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic 1991. I completed my Residency Training in General Psychiatry at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, affiliated with Cornell University, in 2007. Having worked in diverse settings such as Inpatient, Outpatient, Emergency Psychiatry, and Correctional Psychiatry, I specialize in treating patients aged 18 years and older. My practice includes evaluating and managing various mental health conditions, with a focus on mood disorders, substance abuse, and psychotic disorders.
You can find me offering consultations in Winter Garden, Altamonte Springs, and through Telepsychiatry. My commitment to providing personalized and culturally competent psychiatric care is evident in my varied professional background, including the Correctional Mental Health System and Substance Abuse facilities.
