My Approach to Helping
I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. After completing training in 1986 at the U.S. Army Chaplain Center and School and in 1996 at Illinois State University, I began practicing professional counseling. In addition to caring for patients through MDLIVE, I have experience practicing in private practice. My strengths are in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Reality Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Outside of behavioral health care and in my free time, I enjoy motorcycling, bicycling, golfing, and fishing. I love the outdoors, and I also love learning and enjoy taking classes or adding training for new things and reading just for fun.
