What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process

Counseling is a valuable experience for folks who feel stuck -- and we all feel stuck sometimes. We will work from a mindfulness, strengths, and solutions-based foundation to help you move past the stuck point with safety, trust, curiosity, and humor.

What Makes up a Problem?

A problem is something that causes us distress and/or interferes with our optimal day-to-day functioning. A problem may manifest as a pattern of thought, a behavior, or as an experience that keeps us stuck in anger, resentment, fear, sadness, blame, and shame. It may wreak havoc with our health and well-being, our jobs, our families, and our hopes and dreams. It definitely keeps us from being our best selves and living our best lives.
