My Approach to Helping
It is important for me to connect with you and help you feel comfortable expressing your needs. You will have a unique opportunity to feel heard and understood in a non-judmental environment. I will help you to you to feel safe talking about your concerns. Sometimes it is difficult to talk with friends and family members about your personal struggles. You will develop a better understanding of yourself and find it easier to communicate with others. I want to help empower you to strengthen your core relationships. As a result of our work together, you will find that you are better equipped to confront stressful transitions. I help clients to navagite challenging situations in their lives such as job changes or break-ups. You will learn strategies that will help you experience a better mood and reduce anxiety. My counseling approach incorporates cognitive- behavioral techniques (CBT), that will help you to identify thoughts that might be keeping you stuck in old patterns. Additionally, you will learn skills from mindfulness to incorporate in your every-day life.
I provide counseling to adults, teens, and couples. I see individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, body image problems , emotional eating, addictions, and stress - related problems. I am dedicated to helping you to improve your overall wellness and create more balance in your life.
