My Approach to Helping

Working with me is like talking to a friend. As a friend would, I want to protect your interests and uplift and encourage you when you’re struggling. But more than that, I want to ask the difficult questions that promote your healing. I will help you set goals and move toward them until you feel confident in defining your own path.

More Info About My Practice

Whenever you interact with another human, I believe it is critical to consider their life experiences. I value equity and equality, and I'm passionate about removing barriers. Part of that passion is a desire to ensure access for disadvantaged or underserved populations.

Every year, I participate in the walk for suicide prevention. I am also a proud supporter of initiatives to end hunger. For me, promoting therapy, especially in communities where therapy has traditionally been viewed negatively, is a serious and personal cause.

Groups I Work With

It is my privilege to work with those who are familiar with daily hardships, especially BIPOC and those who live with chronic illnesses. As a therapist, I want to help my clients own their thoughts and experiences without shame. I’ve learned that many of the things we consider a flaw are actually quite normal. I am eager to connect with people who have felt discouraged from seeking help, whether it is because of a family member or a cultural expectation. When a person seeks therapy for the first time in spite of stigma and shame, it's worth celebrating.
