My Approach to Helping
I believe in your ability to overcome the challenges you face, and it’s my job to help you along the way. I’m here to provide a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship that combines compassion with evidence-based treatments. Having worked for seven years in the mental health field, spanning multiple agencies and serving a variety of populations such as adolescents, veterans, recovering alcoholics, and adults, I have the tools to get you past issues you’ve struggled to vanquish on your own.
Perhaps you’re dealing with low self-esteem and have trouble staying motivated. Maybe you struggle with persistent worrying and anxiety that makes it difficult for you to relax in daily life. Or maybe you have difficulty feeling safe after a painful event or troubled childhood. You may also not be able to fall or stay asleep. Maybe your intimate relationship feels like a constant struggle. I can help with all of these things, choosing techniques specially tailored for your needs and sensitive to issues of diversity.
