My Approach to Helping
Welcome to Path of Mindfulness Therapy. There may be a variety of reasons why you are here, and I welcome them all!
As a mental health counselor, I work with individuals ages 18- 65 years, who are seeking to make positive changes in their lives. Whether that is managing symptoms of mental health like anxiety or depression, processing trauma, or unforeseen life circumstances, together we can develop a path of success. Acts of reflection often lean towards insight, giving route to a new discovery that is waiting.
My unique approach includes a foundation in Choice Theory and Reality Therapy, with a emphasize on person-centered and solution-seeking approaches.
As an individual who was a client long before a counselor, I know the courage it takes to consider change, not knowing what that may look or feel like. I came to an unforeseen crossroad in my life and found I needed support outside of my family and friends. Through working with a counselor, I was able to understand the symptoms I was experiencing and how to anticipate and manage them. In the process I discovered pieces of myself that had been lost and was able to meet myself with a new view.
