My Approach to Helping

Unlocking the potential within you for lasting change

In our busy world today, we still carry certain stigmas when it comes to Counseling Therapy. We often assume that Psychotherapy is there for us when disaster strikes, or when our mental health is at its lowest. However, Psychotherapy, including talk therapy and Marriage and Family Therapy, can be a wonderful and empowering experience for anyone who wants to explore how their mind works.

For young and old individuals and couples alike, Marriage and Family Therapy can offer insight into how we see, act and communicate with our partners, friends, coworkers and others. It can help us better understand how we think, feel, and understand one another. Brown Counseling Services is determined and eager to help you improve the quality of all of your relationships, your marriage and your life through our services.

More Info About My Practice

There are many reasons why someone would seek Psychotherapy. Generally, these are situations or conditions that create emotional and psychological stress that interfere with daily functioning. This can be in relationship to others (ie. family, friends, co-workers, associates), or difficulty with individual problems and concerns (ie. depression, anxiety, trauma, phobias). Although a certain amount of stress may be natural for an individual dealing with a particular life situation, occasionally it will develop into a significant problem making life difficult to manage.

There are many people who feel that they already have a healthy, and relatively balanced and successful life, but have a specific issue that they wish to resolve to help them feel more successful.

In addition, people often engage in Psychotherapy in order to improve their self awareness and attain a better understanding of their thoughts and behaviors. It is through this process that transformations may occur.
