Courtney Breven is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has 5 years of experience working with teens, adults, and families as they embark on a journey towards change. Courtney has experience working with families touched by foster care and adoption; individuals exploring their sexuality and gender identity; individuals learning to manage anxiety and depression; and families and individuals navigating life’s transitions. She also has experience working with couples that are non-monogamous and/or polyamorous. Courtney completed her Master of Social Work (MSW) at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is passionate about partnership in the therapeutic setting--believing that you are the expert on your own experience. Using a collaborative, strengths based, and emotionally focused approach, Lori will help you to see your areas for growth as connected to a larger experience, while offering practical and useful coping skills. By meeting you where you are and gently pushing you towards your identified goals, Courtney hopes to help you progress in your unique journey.
