My Approach to Helping
Hello! My name is Christina Aiello, and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-C) supporting Maryland Clients via Telehealth. I support adults managing anxiety, depression, grief, life changes, and healing from relational trauma.
I believe that regardless of what brings you to therapy most people are struggling with making peace with their humanness. Based on this principle I take a humanistic approach to supporting clients focusing on their existing strengths, challenging limiting self-narratives, and building healthy patterns of behavior.
I typically work with adults who are feeling overwhelmed managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief and childhood trauma. Much of the deeper work done by my clients surrounds themes of perfectionism, childhood attachment wounds, and healing from relational trauma.
I take a conversational tone in therapy trying to ensure I discuss clinical topics in a way that is meaningful, and easily applied to your daily life.
My approach to goal setting with clients is all about collaborating to identify your focus, and needs. You are the expert in you so developing trust is always the first step to achieving any goals you may bring to therapy.
