My Approach to Helping
I enjoy working with clients that can keep an open mind and are willing to become vulnerable. I would best describe myself as genuine with a good sense of humor, and I like to bring these qualities with me to the session. Trust building is one of the key components that I like to work on with my client in order to help build a solid therapeutic relationship. As decades of research has shown, the relationship and trust between therapist and client is the single most important factor (more than any other) to clients viewing the therapeutic treatment they’ve received as successful. Based on my work and own life experiences, I understand the value of feeling heard, supported, and respected through difficult life challenges. My goal is always to provide my clients with an environment that is safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental. I use different practices and theories based on the individual and their specific needs.
