My Approach to Helping
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor located in Newtown, PA. I work with adults who suffer from anxiety, depression, sadness, loneliness, disconnection, panic attacks, or overwhelming stress. I also works with couples who would like to grow their relationship or move past a difficult conflict. I provide clients with the tools they need to move forward in a healthy way.
My approach to therapy includes elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices, teaching clients to identify negative thought patterns and other harmful habits. I support and build the development of healthier coping skills that promote positive thinking and deeper connection to self and others. I collaborate with my clients to set positive mental health goals.
Finding the right therapist is a challenge. Sometimes it is a soul searching endeavor. Asking yourself so many questions, like, "I hope they understand me? Am I strong enough?" Or, "Is therapy the correct thing for me to do?" Whatever trouble brings you in for therapy, I am here to help you. I am here to listen, understand, and guide you. Judgment is not in my vocabulary.
My clients come to me for comfort and peace of mind. They know that I provide a safe, open, and trusting environment where they can speak freely and ultimately be themselves. Once a connection is created, we can work on the challenges that are brought in and make the change to help you live a more fulfilling life. My clinical approach is a flexible one, as I apply a range of modalities that best serves you. In treatment, strategies are learned and developed to help you reach your goals. I hope to meet you soon!
