My Approach to Helping
My clients usually express experiencing conflicts, inside themselves or with others, and are looking for empathic, flexible, culturally competent, and dynamic clinician to provide support and guidance. My clients have challenges with anxiety, stress, trauma, depression, grief, self-esteem, selfbody image, interpersonal relationships (family, platonic, romantic), work-life balance, life transitions, racial trauma, racial identity, challenges with boundary setting, and assertive communication. I provide them an empathetic and supportive environment to explore these challenges, and develop goals and interventions to grow and heal.
I utilize treatment modalities such as CBT, ACT, DBT and other evidence based therapeutic techniques to help clients with their social-emotional, behavioral, and interpersonalrelational challenges. I view therapy as a collaborative process. I bring my knowledge of psychology into the session while you bring your life experiences.
I am especially welcoming to those who identify within the minority community. I truly enjoy and am honored to watch my clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves that allows them to make positive and healthy decisions for themselves.
