My Approach to Helping
Sometimes life throws us obstacles that often result in mixed emotions. In therapy, I strive to offer a safe space to gain increased self-awareness. Through the process of therapy, you can shift your current way of doing things, change life-patterns and overcome barriers. It takes courage to begin therapy however, once you make the decision, it will likely enhance your sense of self, your relationships, and your quality of life.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I enjoy helping people transform their lives into something of their own making, and beyond what they thought possible. It is extremely rewarding to see when the client and I, have a break through.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
When we find ourselves wrestling with the same problem(s) over and over again we can become very discouraged. I expect you to be apprehensive about therapy, especially if you have had no prior experience, or have had a terrible experience.
It is completely normal for you to feel uncomfortable about going to a stranger's office, and talking about your personal thoughts and feelings. It is my job to help you feel comfortable, sometimes I do this by offering to talk you on the phone and through e-mail.
