My Approach to Helping

~current openings~
I am a relational, somatic oriented psychotherapist. My style is collaborative, conversational, and experiential.

I am glad you are here, taking this important step toward to your mental health and well-being.

I provide a safe space for your self-discovery and authenticity. I also hold space for you to unburden. As a witness to your process, journey, and unfolding, I am gentle, open, accepting, and curious. I listen deeply. I mirror you. When we are seen and heard, when we are gotten and feel felt, there is greater potency for healing and transformation.

I will walk alongside you on the journey to alleviate suffering, let go of hurts, overcome challenges or obstacles, get unstuck, resolve issues or change patterns, and improve your relationships. Along the way, I will support you to become the healthiest expression and most empowered version of you, free of the weight of anxiety, depression, negative self-talk, insecurity, fear, shame, guilt, resentment, anger, regret, grief, and more. I will support you to cultivate self-care, self-acceptance, self-compassion, and more.

As a somatic oriented therapist, I invite you to tune in to your body, to be curious, to notice the voice of your body and the way it speaks to you through sensations, feelings, emotions, energy, imagery, and more. At the same time, I will invite you to notice your thoughts. From there, we will access a portal to awareness, agency, integration, and more.

More Info About My Practice

I have a yoga practice that spans over a decade and a half – I am both a student and an experienced certified teacher. My embodied knowledge of the nervous system and the breath, cultivated through my yoga practice, is a valuable resource in my work.

I have a decade of practice in non-violent communication (NVC). I studied for two years with a certified NVC trainer and for eight years following, I co-facilitated a weekly practice group with my peers. One of the foundational principles of the NVC consciousness is to hold others in unconditional positive regard. I bring this consciousness forward into my life and into my psychotherapy practice.

I am currently working toward completion of the Level 2 Hakomi training. After that, I will be working toward certification. Hakomi is a gentle, mindful form of assisted self-study that weaves in Internal Family Systems.
