My Approach to Helping
Pre-Licensed Mental Health Counselor, IOP Therapist at Mind Body Wellness
Going to therapy takes great strength and bravery, and it is important for us to recognize that. Sometimes therapy is the only place where people feel safe and sound. Therefore, my overall goal as a mental health professional is to provide my clients with a safe, non-judgmental space to share their stories, feel validated, and uncover long-term therapeutic solutions.
Because every person has unique stories and wisdoms to share, my approach to counseling pulls from various theories, including person-centered therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT). Through a trauma-informed lens, I strive to help my clients develop an abundance of tools to add to their therapeutic toolbox.
I have experience working with clients of various backgrounds, including adolescents, trauma survivors, and individuals with co-occurring disorders. I am proudly an LGBTQIA+ affirming clinician and strive to help my clients feel safe and respected. Currently, I am the IOP therapist at Mind Body Wellness and work in both group and individual settings.
