My Approach to Helping

I utilize a variety of approaches to match the direction that fits my individual client and use the techniques that are helpful for each individual, couple or family, which may differ depending on the problems presented and the preferences of he people that come seeking my help. I listen to what each person needs and wants, and then use specific techniques as needed (e.g. stress management, relaxation exercises, guided imagery, visualization, art or play therapy with children, EMDR, hypnosis, dream interpretation, or Gestalt role-playing) within the context of a total treatment plan and therapeutic relationship.
I have been in psychological practice since 1979, been married 30 years, raised 2 children and shared in raising three step-children, so I have many years of of clinical and personal experience on which to draw. However, I am always learning and growing, and enjoy sharing the journey of self- discovery with the people who choose to share their lives with me.

More Info About My Practice

I have an insurance/billing service which can file insurance for clients, but I give a 10% discount for those people who do not have health insurance, are not using their insurance, or are filing insurance for themselves.
