My Approach to Helping
Research and experience has shown that trauma is stored in your body and affects your mind, body, memory, mood, spirit, and relationships with yourself and with others. There is a way to befriend your nervous system, effectively heal your past wounds, cope with your current triggers, and discover your own personal post-traumatic growth and resiliency for the future.
I don’t believe in one-size fits all. I offer transparency, support, collaboration, empowerment, and choice in a nonjudgemental and safe relationship. I am trained in a variety of approaches including EMDR, TF-CBT, somatic therapy, play therapy, and mindfulness-based therapy. I will work with you to find the best approach and treatment plan that meets your individual needs, strengths, and neurobiology.
