My Approach to Helping

I am a compassionate therapist and life coach who helps people in therapy develop the skills needed to connect, thrive, and increase their health and general wellbeing. I have provided mental health care to wonderful people for more than 25 years. It is an honor to help individuals improve their relationships, cope with symptoms of anxiety and depression, regain optimal functioning, and take a holistic approach to better health. If you are affected by major life transitions, feeling unfulfilled, experiencing chronic stress, or unable to reach your full potential, please contact me for a free telephone consultation.

I work with couples, families, and individuals of all ages, genders, races, sexualities, and religious backgrounds. I use empirically-supported modalities, neuroscience, and mindfulness techniques to help people build resilience.

More Info About My Practice

My therapeutic approach teaches you to access your innate strengths, and empowers you to regain control of your health and wellbeing. My practice in Burnsville is staffed by a team of integrative health providers that offers naturopathic medicine and acupuncture services. In the fall of 2017, my practice is Lakeville will provide group dialectical behavior therapy to adults in treatment.

My Guiding Ethical Principles

Compassion is my top guiding principle. I believe that people naturally heal themselves in a validating environment with their strengths, resources, and skills. Therapy provides time and a safe space to build resiliency skills, identify where you want to go, and a path to get there. As a compassionate therapist, I inspire motivation, remove barriers, and offer tools to build insight and action plans.
