My Approach to Helping
I work with many adults who often feel that they do not in fact know how to adult. Often, the individuals I serve come to therapy feeling lost, that life has lost some of its meaning, and experience emotions of confusion and anxiety. Many of the individuals I work with are also in the helping professions including nurses, educators, and other mental health professionals. I also work well with adult children of alcoholics or those with strained or distant family relations.
I offer a direct, authentic, and conversational approach to my work. My focus is to explore with you your values, what aspects of your life may not be aligned with these values and collaborate on ways to shift those barriers out of the way. I truly believe that being comfortable with your emotions and thoughts is a superpower. My work focuses on exploring patterns of thoughts, the sources of your emotions and reactions to these emotions, and how these patterns and reactions may be serving or not serving you.
