Ariella Boehm has been helping people lead more intentional lives for over 20 years. Ariella began her career as an early childhood teacher. In her role as a teacher she designed and implemented best practices for working with children in early childhood, as well as evaluating and refining existing programs in response to parent, child and community needs. Ariella made the decision to channel the empathic skills that are needed to be a connected teacher, into becoming a compassionate psychotherapist. Ariella attended a Master’s in Psychology and Counselling program while pregnant with her sixth child.
Ariella is an expert in supporting families through high conflict separation and divorce. She has worked as a case manager supporting women in crisis to help them navigate the family law system. Ariella advised clients on Ontario’s family court system, met with lawyers to support clients’ individual needs, and accompanied clients to court as a crisis support person.
Ariella was the founding director of Project LISA, where she was responsible for initiating a program aimed at supporting individuals through their family law matters. Her responsibilities included, managing client cases, aiding clients in their attempts to obtain legal aid certificates, and liaising with lawyers.
Ariella has also worked with individuals and couples through EAP programs. In this role Ariella worked with a wide range of clients and their diverse needs. She supported clients in managing anxiety, depression, attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), work stress, parenting, self-esteem, trauma, relationships, and family conflict.
Ariella is trained in motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, trauma-informed practice, logotherapy, and the developmental model. Ariella’s wealth of experience has enabled her to build the skills needed to work with diverse populations, as well as diverse needs.
