My Approach to Helping

Feeling lost and exhausted? Unsure about your identity and life's direction? Unsatisfied with work or relationships? You're not alone!

Are you feeling exhausted, lost, and uncertain about your identity and life's direction? Do you find yourself unsatisfied with your job or relationships, grappling with feelings of inadequacy and rejection? You're not alone.

In therapy with me, you'll embark on a transformative journey to become an expert on YOU. As an insight-oriented psychotherapist, I believe that understanding yourself better leads to a better life. I can help you reflect on how and why you function the way you do and clarify motivations and reasons behind your choices. My main goals are to improve symptoms and enhance your work, academic, and romantic life.

Drawing on my extensive experience, which began in Italy and flourished in the vibrant community of San Francisco, I offer a compassionate and insightful approach to psychodynamic psychotherapy in both English and Italian. This method prioritizes profound, enduring change over quick fixes, empowering you to unravel the complexities of your personality and past experiences.

Together, we'll explore the roots of your struggles and illuminate the patterns that keep you feeling stuck. Your internal world is valuable, and I'll help you discover it collaboratively.

Through this process, you'll discover your inherent worth and uniqueness, reclaim your voice and forge deeper, more fulfilling connections with others. Working with me can enable you to break free from old habits and realize that you have a greater range of choices available in any given situation. My approach is effective at helping you remove internal blockages that hinder you from achieving your life goals.

Clients describe me as generous, sensitive, and a critical thinker, qualities that inform my commitment to guiding you toward greater self-awareness and personal growth. As you gain clarity about how your past influences your present, you'll unlock newfound freedom and a wealth of choices, paving the way for a more authentic and fulfilling life.

I believe that therapy works best with flexibility and curiosity. My warm, interactive style is open to feedback. I also believe in using humor to help people feel comfortable, especially during initial meetings, where I understand how difficult it might be to open up to a new person. I respect the courage it takes to ask for help and treat this choice with the utmost respect.

More Info About My Practice

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

Being a psychotherapist is my passion. It allows me to bring meaningful change to others while experiencing my own growth. It's an honor to be part of people's stories, witnessing moments of hope, self-realization, and laughter. Guiding individuals to understand their behavior and respond differently is deeply rewarding.

Moreover, the diversity of human experiences continually enriches my practice. Each client brings a unique perspective and set of challenges, inspiring me to adapt and learn. It's a journey of mutual discovery and growth, where every session holds the potential for new insights and breakthroughs. This dynamic exchange fuels my love for this profession and reinforces my commitment to fostering positive change in both my clients and myself.
