My Approach to Helping
I am a clinical social worker with over fifteen years experience working in a variety of settings including inpatient psychiatric facilities, outpatient specialty programs, and residential settings. I am very passionate about mental health and providing excellent therapeutic services to those I work with. I believe in working in partnership with clients to utilize your strengths and help you sort out your challenges and achieve your goals.
I have a broad range of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families, couples, and geriatric populations providing individual, family, couples, and group psychotherapy in the following areas:
-Trauma and abuse
-Family and relationship issues
-Self-image and self-esteem issues
-Chronic mental Illness
I am trained in extensive therapeutic practices including but not limited to:
-Cogtive behavioral therapy
-Dialectical behavioral therapy
-Radically-open dialectical behavioral therapy
Above all, I practice a strengths-based, client-centered approach to therapy and believe that clients are in charge of their counseling experience. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe environment where clients can explore their therapeutic interests, develop goals, identify strengths, and generate change as they move towards their aspirations.
