My Approach to Helping
Alyssa Boinais is a limited license clinical social worker. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees in social work from Wayne State University. Her goal is to provide clients with compassion and support while they create healthy boundaries, learn to manage emotions, cope with stressors, increase self-awareness, achieve their goals and build confidence in themselves.
She has experience working in inpatient psychiatric hospitals. While working in the hospitals, Alyssa worked with children, adolescents, and women during crisis intervention. She has experience working with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and individuals with a history of trauma. Alyssa conducts therapy with a strength-based, client-centered approach while utilizing evidence-based treatments including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectal behavioral therapy, trauma-informed interventions, and mindfulness techniques.
