My Approach to Helping
I believe each person is unique and has inherent value and purpose. The goal through therapy is to work together with your counselor to establish goals and a plan that addresses the issues or problems you are facing. Many individuals enter counseling because of a difficulty that is affecting their life. It can be difficult to work through these problems on your own. It may even make the problem worse or cause more problems. I desire to walk with you through life's problems in order to navigate to a healthy and fulfilling outcome that you desire.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
My passion is helping people in marriage and relationship issues. I have worked with couples dealing with infidelity to those just seeking to maximize their potential. Marriage can be one of the most rewarding or most heart breaking relationships we encounter in life. I desire to help each couple maimize the potential in their relationship.
My Role as a Therapist
My role as a therapist is to work with you to understand the presenting problem and to develop mutual goals that address that problem. It is not the role of the therapist to tell you what you should do or how to fix whatever the current issue is. If it were that simple, most clients would already have their problems solved. Rather, the therapist should work collaboratively with the client to thoroughly understand the issues and the options involved.
