What's My Approach to Therapy?
Therapy is most effective when it feels like a real, honest conversation, one where you do not have to perform, minimize, or carry everything alone. In my work, I focus on the in between moments of life, the times when an old chapter is ending, a new one has not quite begun, and you feel unsure, stuck, or overwhelmed. Together, we slow things down enough to make sense of what you are feeling, name what you truly want, and take manageable steps toward change.
My approach is collaborative, warm, and grounded in evidence based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR. We will look at the patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and relationships, explore how past experiences might be shaping your present, and build practical coping skills you can use between sessions. You can expect a mix of support and gentle challenge, as I listen closely, validate your experience, and also help you see options and strengths you may be overlooking.
Whether you are navigating a life transition, working through depression or anxiety, or trying to reconnect with yourself and your relationships, therapy with me is about creating space to be fully seen and understood. From there, we will work together to reduce your distress, clarify your values, and move you toward a life that feels more aligned, hopeful, and sustainable. If this resonates with you, reaching out is a meaningful first step, and you do not have to have everything figured out to begin.
