My Approach to Helping
I believe that each client is unique and I like to create a safe space where each client can speak openly about their problems. I provide a non-judgmental, trusting, empathetic personality with each client. I like to work with clients on their goals whether its life, family, or career by exploring their strengths and helping them utilize their strengths. I feel that the clients are the experts on their lives and the clients are the ones that know what they want. I use various techniques based on the clients’ individual needs, those approaches include but are not limited to: Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Positive Psychology, Solution Focused Therapy, Family Systems, Client Centered Therapy.
More about me: I like bowling, golf and watching sports and exercising daily. I have bowled a perfect game. I also like spending time with my family. I enjoy watching movies and listening to music. I think music can be a great coping skill; it can motivate us, it can pick us up when we are feeling sad, and a good playlist can add that extra boost when exercising.
