My approach in therapy is collaborative, supportive, and goal oriented.
It’s not always easy to create a life that feels aligned with who you are. You might find yourself feeling disconnected, uncertain, or questioning your choices, wondering why things don’t feel as fulfilling as you expected. These experiences can be difficult, but they can also be important starting points for deeper understanding. Therapy offers a space to slow down and explore these questions with care. Together, we’ll look at patterns in your emotional life and relationships, explore how past experiences may be shaping the present, and reconnect with what feels most meaningful to you. My approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and insight-oriented. Sessions are reflective and focused on helping you better understand yourself over time, with space to process emotions and gain clarity. I often work with individuals navigating life transitions, relationship concerns, and a general sense of feeling unfulfilled or “off.” Over time, clients often feel more connected to themselves, more clear about what matters, and more able to move forward with intention. If you’re considering therapy, you’re welcome to reach out for a free consultation to see if this feels like a good fit.
Therapy is a special place to explore who you truly are and what makes you happy. If you are not feeling fulfilled, it is time to do something about that! I would love to opportunity to work with you and help you make these important changes. I have recently expanded my practice in the Morristown area, and I'm currently accepting new patients. I have been a psychotherapist for over 20+ years and have experience in a wide range of issues. Daniel Linehan has 19 years of clinical experience and is a fully certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (CBT) who’s effectively counseled numerous individuals, couples, and families. He is certified in CBT, REBT, and TEAM-CBT. He also practices Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), EMDR, and Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). One of his specialties is with co-dependents struggling to get out of unhealthy relationships and learning how to prevent falling into the same patterns in a new relationship. Daniel is known for his direct, engaging, and interactive style and warm approach. He can sense his clients' thoughts and feelings and shows compassion and acceptance when listening and interacting. The goal for the client is always moving towards living the kind of life they want to live. What that looks like is different for everyone because we all have our own set of values, but the stronger our values, the harder it can be to accept ourselves and others in the world. Daniel helps clients find that balance for themselves! He challenges his clients, engages them, and gets positive results. Daniel teaches clients how to be their own therapist to help them cope on their own and lead self-fulfilling lives. Dan's clients see him as compassionate, funny, and, most importantly, he is not the type of therapist who sits back and nods their head the entire session. Daniel challenges clients and gets results without judgment.
People create meaningful change when they feel truly heard and validated. What I love most about being a therapist is having the privilege to be part of that journey—helping clients shift their perspective, face challenges, and reconnect with their sense of worth and potential so they can build a life aligned with their values. While I specialize in anxiety, panic disorders, and OCD, my work also spans a range of other areas, including support for creative professionals and those in the entertainment industry; men’s issues; sex and porn addiction; trauma; body and muscle dysmorphia; and LGBTQIA+ concerns. My foundation is in behavioral therapy, but I take an eclectic, integrative approach that draws on my specialties and certifications in CBT, ACT, ERP, and EMDR. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your concerns, and I tailor our work to meet you exactly where you are in this moment of your life. Feel free to contact me or visit my website if you’d like to learn more and find out my latest availability. We can discuss what brings you to therapy and work out a plan to get you on the path toward leading a more fulfilling life. At present, in-person spaces are currently filled. Only telehealth spaces at present.
I have specific expertise working with couples as well as individuals navigating difficult relationships. I particularly enjoy working with high-achieving professionals, over-thinkers and cycle-breakers. I am an active therapist, meaning that I will ask questions and point out patterns to help you get to the root of what really brought you into therapy. I am a warm but direct straight shooter who values transparency and I use humor, intuition, and spontaneity in my work. My aim is not to tell you what to do, but rather to help you listen to your own inner wisdom.
You've worked hard to build a successful career and establish yourself as a respected professional. People know you as someone competent, dependable, and always finds a way forward—a person of unwavering integrity. On the outside, you appear calm and in control, but inside, you carry a quiet, invisible burden: the constant pressure to get everything right, hide your fears, and stay productive—even when you're overwhelmed. You rarely give yourself permission to rest, set boundaries, or ask for help—leaving your own needs hidden beneath the surface. The behaviors and emotional patterns that bring you to therapy are not signs that something is wrong with you. They are ways you learned to cope and protect yourself in response to your earliest experiences with caregivers. Healing doesn't come from pushing yourself to do more—it begins with understanding these adaptations with compassion and gently helping your nervous system discover what true safety and connection can feel like. My approach is collaborative and attuned. We'll bring gentle curiosity to your experiences, exploring how your protective patterns once helped you survive and shaped the way you relate to yourself and others—always at a pace that feels safe and supportive. Together, we'll integrate somatic practices, mindfulness, and experiential work to cultivate safety, connection, and self-trust—laying the groundwork for meaningful, lasting change.
When a relationship is in crisis, or a family is fractured, you need more than just a listener—you need a clear path forward. My practice is built on objective, research-based interventions designed to bring clarity to high-stakes situations. A Scientific Approach to Couples Therapy As a Gottman-trained therapist, I don’t rely on intuition alone. We begin with a formal Gottman assessment that serves as a blueprint for your treatment plan. By using this data-driven approach, we remove the guesswork and move objectively toward your goals, often achieving results in less time. In my office, the relationship is the client. By focusing on the bond, rather than the individuals, I eliminate bias and ensure that our work remains dedicated to the health of the partnership. Specialized Family Services: Alienation and Reunification I provide expert intervention for families navigating the most difficult transitions, including: Family reunification: I specialize in working with families experiencing estrangement or alienation. My goal is to facilitate healing and restore healthy parent-child dynamics through structured, therapeutic reunification. Court-involved evaluations: I conduct comprehensive family evaluations designed for legal contexts. These assessments provide the court with an objective, clinical perspective on family functioning. Professional Disclaimer: Please note that my role is defined by the specific service requested. To maintain clinical integrity and avoid a conflict of interest, I do not simultaneously serve as a neutral evaluator and a treating therapist for the same family. Evaluations are conducted as a neutral third party for the court's consideration. All court-related services, including testimony and evaluations, are subject to specific fee schedules and retainer agreements.
Hello! My name is Alex Fromosky, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey. I have a Bachelor’s in Sociology from Montclair State University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Central Florida. Throughout my time in the field, I have worked individually with clients addressing issues such as substance use and addiction, trauma and posttraumatic stress (PTSD), anxiety, depression, family and relationship issues, and all of the fun stuff in between! Mental health is already intimidating to discuss, and I pride myself on having a direct yet supportive approach when it comes to therapy. I like to bring my authentic self to sessions, and I hope you will, too. I also like to approach some of these harder issues in a fun, caring, and lighter way, so you can feel more comfortable exploring some of the things that have been hiding away for so long. I utilize skills from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) in sessions, which allows for a well-rounded perspective.
I enjoy working with children and adolescents to establish a warm therapeutic relationship. My goal is for my clients to not just improve but to thrive so that they can grow and mature to be successful and productive members of society. I enjoy working with parents and teachers to help them better understand their children and students and to foster a more peaceful and productive home and classroom. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband (also a psychologist!) and two young children. I also enjoy reading, exercise, and participating in community events.
You are taking an important step in healing and growth that will enable you to make more positive choices moving forward. If you are experiencing symptoms of depression or anxiety, grief or loss, having relationship difficulties, demonstrating communication problems or just feeling "stuck," contact me at Three Steps Forward to discuss how counseling can help you. My mission is to provide a counseling experience that is comfortable, soothing and empowering. Each session is tailored to your particular needs. Together, we will clarify what you hope to gain from this experience overall. I understand that counseling may be the first opportunity for you to feel truly heard and understood. I will listen to what you say in session, as well as what you don't say, and I'll be mirroring that back to you. I can help you move past the depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. We will work together to challenge the maladaptive stories and unhealthy messages you've been carrying around with you to develop a healthier, more encouraging script that will spur you to move forward, make conscious choices, and note your progress throughout. I favor an active approach to therapy and employ many cognitive-behavioral techniques as well as an incredibly impactful tool called Rapid Transformational Therapy which incorporates Hypnosis.
When you realize you're struggling or you are at a difficult point in your life, the awareness can cultivate growth. Reaching out for assistance is not a sign of weakness, but rather a sign of your strength and motivation for change. It shows your readiness to address what is needed to move through the challenge. Stress, anxiety, past traumas, life transitions, relationship or challenges, can knock anyone off balance. Through our therapy, I help each individual understand what defined their developmental process and the relationship between the psyche and how one relates to their current environment. Individuals tend to manifest patterns in current relationships depending on the experiences they had as a child with parents, siblings or guardians. Experiences will eventually build a standard in the mind. We often then carry a standard or "object" around as an adult attaching it to every relationship or event. This is a habitual pattern that forms within us and it can affect our overall health. During therapy, we will employ various techniques, used so you develop a more harmonious position in how you view yourself and others. The goal is to see people and the world around us in a neutral manner based on rational thought, instead of attaching our past to the here and now. The focus of therapy is to show how you can improve relationships and interactions with others by removing the "object" that we naturally attach to events and people. This object shapes how one acts in relationships. When this is held in a negative manner it is detrimental to self-esteem happiness and health.
