My Approach to Helping
I believe that counseling can help people to overcome blocks that prevent them from fully enjoying life. These blocks may be physical, mental, relational, or spiritual. I feel that my role as a counselor is to work alongside my clients and to act as a guide to help them uncover what may be getting in their way. I achieve this through a combination of approaches tailored to meet a person's individual needs. At the basis of all of it is a recognition that everyone is unique and deserves respect, validation, and empathy.

More Info About My Practice
My fee is $115 for the first session and then $100 for each follow up session. I accept a number of insurance plans including: Blue Cross/Blue Shield's PPO, Personal Help Connection, and Indemnity Plan; Fallon Community Health Plan; Harvard Pilgrim/United Behavioral Health (UBH); Cigna; Aetna; Neighborhood; and Boston Medical Center Health Plan.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

The client-therapist relationship is important in order for change to take place. If a client doesn't feel they can trust and openly talk with their therapist, then they are not going receive any benefit from the therapy. My goal is to provide clients with a trusting, non-judmental, empathic, and validating environment in which they are able to freely discuss and explore the issues which brought them to treatment in the first place. If, for any reason, a client is not comfortable with me or, in the event that I don't feel that I would be able to provide the help they need, I am happy to make referrals. My main concern is that clients receive the help they want or need.
