My Approach to Helping

I am committed to coaching you towards a more fulfilling life. My practice is anchored in my personal values of kindness, courtesy, and mutual respect. Psychological counseling can help you find relief from stress, discover joy in relationships, unleash creativity, and embrace happiness. I tailor my approach to your unique goals, blending cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused techniques. We will focus on your strengths and strive to amplify them during the process of therapy. Implementing the tools from positive psychology will help you thrive. Through the use of imagination and the discovery of new skills, we will reclaim a sense of control.

I provide individual, couples, and family therapy in a nurturing and confidential environment. My areas of expertise include Personal Challenges (anxiety, depression, eating disorders, women's issues, grief, chronic pain), Relationships (communication, conflict resolution, dating, social skills, separation/divorce), and Life Skills (stress management, assertiveness, life transition, goal-setting, time management).
I bring a sense of humor and a pragmatic approach to therapy. Together we will design strategies and real-life exercises to facilitate movement towards your goals. Specific recommendations may include reading, role-plays, cognitive restructuring, relaxation training, desensitization, and guided imagery.

I understand that your time is valuable; sessions begin and end promptly. In addition, sessions are available by telephone for added convenience.
