Therapy is a process in which I work on creating a meaningful and authentic therapeutic relationship with my client. I believe in providing a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment for healing and change. I provide therapy with compassion and always keeping in mind the client's goals for healthier living. One therapy does not fit all, and providing individualized care is essential to understanding the unique circumstances and needs of each client.
I incorporate mindfulness based techniques and skills when I find clients needing tools to help them navigate certain difficulties. I provide a non-12 step approach to the treatment and management of addiction that includes tools by Smart Recovery. My practice utilizes therapies and techniques that have been supported by research such as CBT and DBT to help with other concerns such as depression, trauma, or anxiety.

I have extensive expertise in addiction and dual diagnosis. I have developed helped develop programs (IOP, PHP, and Residential) that have received national acclaim in Malibu. I provide outpatient therapy services in Beverly Hills and consultation services to other industries and addiction facilities.
My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
Therapy can serve a multitude of purposes. The purpose is ultimately defined by you the client. Many people seek therapy due to a specific concern, others seek it to enhance relationships, get emotional support, and some seek therapy to simply get a better understanding of themselves. Helping you leave therapy with some understanding of who you are, and how you came to behave, think, and feel the way you do are central to increasing your self-awareness. Recognizing existing patterns and bringing them you your awareness can be a powerful tool that provides lasting changes. Ultimately the purpose of therapy is to help you meet whatever needs you may have.
My Therapy Focus
There are so many elements that make for good therapy. Some of the important ones include creating a good relationship with my clients where they feel they can trust, confide in, and open up with me about whatever may be troubling them. My central focus is the therapeutic relationship. It's this relationship that allows for any work to be done in therapy. Just like most relationships, it takes time, trust, and a secure foundation to form.
