The focus of my psychotherapy practice over the past 30 years has been helping people overcome anxiety, low-self esteem, depression, anger, and self-defeating habits that keep them from living more satisfying, happy and productive lives, and that negatively impact relationships. I provide a caring, respectful and non-judgmental setting in which clients can feel understood, accepted, and safe to explore and express their thoughts and feelings.

For people struggling with more acute panic, anxiety, obsessive compulsive symptoms, and depression, I incorporate evidence-based cognitive-behavioral tools, mindfulness-based practices and ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy) which studies have shown to be highly effective in achieving symptom relief within several sessions.

My practice also includes parenting and family consultation -- My new book entitled Connected Parenting: Raising Successful, Happy and Independent Children will be published early fall, 2013.

As an organizational consultant and executive coach, I offer private consultation to individuals dealing with challenges in the workplace and longer term career.
