My Approach to Helping

Do problems feel overwhelming or unmanageable? Are relationships growing more difficult and stressful? Sometimes life can be challenging and it may be difficult to know how to make changes. My practice is dedicated to listening carefully and offering insight with compassion and care. I offer a trusting, supportive space where we can work collaboratively to understand and heal emotional experiences, develop nurturing relationships, and move towards fulfilling your personal goals. I believe change is possible at any time and psychotherapy can provide opportunities to realize one's potential.

Whatever your reasons for wanting to talk to someone, therapy can help you better understand your experiences. For some people this might seem intimidating. Starting the conversation is easier than you think. I invite you to call and schedule an appointment. Reach out to explore the possibilities.

More Info About My Practice

I regularly work with adolescents and adults, individuals and couples, dealing with depression, anxiety, anger, addiction, eating disorders, relationship and codependency issues, and those working on their own recovery.

Therapy for adolescents and young adults can help transform current struggles and support the development of communications and coping skills, self-confidence and self-esteem, healthy relationships with parents, siblings, and peers, and a greater sense of self. I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults experiencing dealing with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, individuation and launching issues, and the pressures of families dealing with addiction, abuse, mental illness, and death or loss. I have experience as a primaryfamilygroup therapist at eating disorder and dual diagnosis treatment facilities and as an elementary school therapist.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I also specialize in therapy and support for Adult Children of Parents with Mental Illness, Adult Children of Alcoholics, and Partners of AlcoholSubstanceSex Addicts. My experience includes providing individual and couples therapy and psycho-education courses on the effects of dysfunction families and interpersonal relationships. I have experience with Al-anon and 12-Step principles and practices.
