I integrate the spiritual wisdom of the East into contemporary Western psychology. I have a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from UCLA and 25 years of psychotherapy experience. I have also been studying and applying the spiritual teachings of India in my own life for 30 years. It was natural for me to combine the two into a psychotherapy of deep healing and transformation.
It is a psychotherapy of dis-identifying with thoughts and unconscious negative beliefs that arise from your childhood conditioning. And it is a grounding in your heart's wisdom, of accessing the power of your essential nature of peace, love, and joy.
Every problem and painful experience becomes an opportunity to connect with the power of your true self, even as we deal directly with the issue or difficulty you are facing. I help you to be aware of your attitudes and interpretations that are causing or reinforcing your pain, to let go of unresolved and traumatic past experiences, and to live fully in the present moment. My acceptance and warm regard for you in a safe setting makes it easier for you to gain clarity and insight without guilt or self-judgment.
I use EMDR, hypnosis, guided meditation, and breathwork as needed. I also give you exercises designed for you to do on your own. The healing and inner shift start right after the first session. I also have training and experience in health psychology, or the mind-body connection. So I can offer you healing that encompasses mind, body, and spirit.
If you contact me through email, please include your phone number (or call me at 310-998-1965 instead) so we can have a chance to talk and see if this is a good fit for you.

What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process
I create a safe space in which you experience me as non-judgmental and empathic, and strong enough to contain whatever comes up and to support you in your process.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
For me, acknowledging weakness and flaws (which we all have) and willing to be vulnerable is a sign of strength.
