My work as a licensed associate marriage and family therapist involves addressing each person's emotional, physical and spiritual needs that are not being met by facilitating empathy training for each member in a relationship. My philosophy is that people respond according to emotional needs that are not being met which then affects their relationships with romantic partners, family members, friends and co-workers. Allowing people the opportunity to uncover these needs elicits feelings of safety, being heard and valued. Relationship concerns like ineffective communication, medical illness, sexual variances, depression and other mood issues are where the bulk of my experience and interests lie. The therapy process can sometimes be daunting as many are leery of old issues being surfaced. My role as the facilitator of the process is to build trust and provide sanctuary through the course as my clients build healthy, deeper and more fulfilling relationships.

More Info About My Practice
My goal is to help my clients achieve specific goals through self awareness, emotional connection and re-engagement with their own family systems and relationships. I work with couples, families, and individuals (16 years of age and older). Members of all communities are welcome in my practice. Currently I am studying to complete Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy certification. This model is focused on engaging each person in a relationship to allow for deeper emotional connections. I am excited to help you with your goals.
Had a Negative Therapy Experience?
If you have had a negative therapy experience, but still feel the need for help; give me a call and lets talk. Please allow me the opportunity to build your trust and confidence. The therapist-client relationship is a dominant factor in the process without it, nothing else can happen. Feeling important and valued through the process is paramount to your ability to relinquish old experiences and replace them with new positive experiences. Hopefully, when you do choose a therapist, you can find one who values you, just because you are you.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
My life's experiences allow me the ability to be present with you. Each of us has a story that shapes who we are, how we respond in situations and the choices that we make. It is important to focus on the positives that each person brings to relationships. It is those positives that make working on the growth areas worth the challenge that the work may be. Know that I will be there with you through the steps while you and your partner, friends and/or family members build confidence and strength in your trust, positive emotional connections and security with each other.
