I am an interactive, strength-based therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in individual, couple, and family therapy. As a graduate of The Family Institute at Northwestern University I earned a Master of Science in Marital and Family Therapy and received extensive clinical training at the Family Institute's Bette D. Harris Family and Child Clinic. I am currently serving as a practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of interest are young adults, life transitions, self-esteem, communication, couples preparing for marriage, first time parents, blended families, and sexual relationship therapy.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I love helping other achieve goals that they never thought possibly for themselves. There are so many factors in our lives that we aren't aware of on a daily basis that can affect our mood, resiliency, and ability to just be ourselves. Our past experiences and relationships play a big role in our present lives and it can be so empowering for an individual to truly understand that connection and be able to use it to improve their life. I love the process of helping other make those connections in their lives. My passion for mental health comes from knowing that we all have such incredible potential for positive change, healing, and growth in our lives. Whether you're looking for extra support and guidance or you are just ready for a change, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.

My Role as a Therapist

As your therapist it is my role to help you realize your true potential and live the life that you have envisioned for yourself. We will work together to identify and resolve past issues that may be holding you back and keeping you stuck in a cycle that just isn't working for you. We will also look at the present in order address challenging situations that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, or depression in your life.
